The funeral for Jeanne Abshire, 80, of Canton, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2009 at Canton Christian Church with Steve Driskill officiating. Interment will follow in Eagle City Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK. Jeanne was born on February 6, 1929 at Canton, OK to Harry H. and Myrtle (Hollowell) Haigler, Sr. and departed this life on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Oklahoma City, OK. Jeanne graduated from Canton High School in 1947. She married Glen Ross Abshire on August 10, 1947 at Eagle City, OK. She was a member of Canton Christian Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed working in her yard and sewing. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; husband Glen Abshire; son Kenneth William Abshire; an infant son and infant daughter; Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Cravens of Fairview, OK; three grandchildren, Traci West, Randy Whittle and Trey O’Nan; five great-grandchildren, Rachel, Brandon, Ashley, Kyle and Max; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Haigler, Jr. of Canton, OK; Memorials may be made through the funeral home at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724 to the Canton Christian Church or Canton Senior Citizens. Condolences may be made online at Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home
