The Funeral service for Helen D. (Spaeth) Unruh will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Rosary service will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. the same day in Cottonwood Cemetery, Hitchcock, OK.
Helen was born in Okeene, OK May 3, 1934 to Anton and Amelia Esther (Nault) Spaeth and passed away August 12, 2017 in Enid.
Helen was raised in Hitchcock, OK and attended Hitchcock schools, graduating in 1952. After which she attended Oklahoma State University. On July 28, 1953 she married Milfred Unruh at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hitchcock where the couple made their home. She worked on the family farm as-well-as a caregiver. Helen was a long time member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and working on her yard but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Helen is survived by her children, Cindy Waggoner of Yukon; Jerry Unruh
(Ginny) of Hitchcock; Charlotte White (Alan) of Enid; Mary Nelson of Enid; Lori
Unruh and puppy Gracie of Pond Creek; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and
one on the way; brothers, Anton, John and Kenny Spaeth and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Mary Ann
Spragins; brother, Mike Spaeth; son-in-law's, David Waggoner and Neil Nelson.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to Enid SPCA or Our Daily Bread.
