Quinten A. Scott was born on February 16, 1928 near Southard, Oklahoma to David Grant and Dorothea Emma Gerlach Scott. He attended grade school at Carlton and high school at Southard. Quinten was united in marriage to Imogene Joyce (Price) Scott in 1945, at Fairview, Oklahoma. Together they farmed and ranched on their farm east of Canton all of their lives. In 2003, Quinten was honored by receiving the Blaine County Hall of Fame Farmer award. Quinten departed this life peacefully on December 19, 2013 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his son, Ernie Scott and wife Dee of Lawton, Oklahoma; one grandson, Ricky Allen Scott and wife Stephanie, Cashion, Oklahoma; two step grand-children, Rick Myskey, Fayetteville, NC, and Robin Myskey, Lawton, Oklahoma; nine great-grandchildren; He is also survived by sister-in-law, Doris Scott, sister-in-law Sheila Harmon and her husband James; brother-in-law Ron Price and wife Sandy and several nieces, nephews and cousins; He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Imogene; his brother, G.C.; and by one grandson, Ronnie;
A funeral service will be held at the Christian Church in Canton, Oklahoma at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 with Steve Driskill officiating. Interment will follow in Cherryvale Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
