George Marion Robison was born September 22, 1957 and departed this life on January 12, 2022, at the age of 64. George was born in Watonga, Okla. to Elmer Gene & Georgia Luella Cain Robison. He was the youngest of four siblings and lived at the rural family farm (located NW of Watonga) for most of the first 55 years of his life.
He attended Southard & Canton schools, went to Ozark Adventist Academy in Arkansas for 2 years and returned to Canton for his senior class year, graduating in 1975. As a young man, he spent 4 years at Southwestern Adventist College in Keene, TX, graduating there in 1979 with a BBA. He returned home that summer, beginning a 29 year career as a State of Oklahoma employee, working at both Roman Nose & Quartz Mountain State Parks with a short stint at Okeene Hospital during those early years. In 2012, health problems forced George’s retirement from his Roman Nose State Park accounting position. He then moved to Watonga joining his mother in her home, during her final years.
George was a long-time pianist, treasurer and life-long member of the Canton Seventh-day Adventist Church.
George was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister Pamela Dianne Rickey.
