Michelle Dee Jinkens
(July 6, 1971 - August 26, 2015)

Michelle Dee "Shelly" Jinkens was born on July 6, 1971 at Okeene, OK to Garry and Doris (Nelson) Jinkens. She departed this life and ran into the outstretched arms of Jesus on August 26, 2015 at the age of 44 years, 1 month and 20 days. At the age of 9 months we found that Shelly's life was to be a great challenge for her. She accepted that with grace and determination. In the eyes of the world she accomplished little; In the eyes of God she accomplished every task He put before her. Due to her disabilities God placed many loving and compassionate people in her pathway. For each of those we will forever be grateful. Through Shelly we learned the meaning of pure, unconditional love. Because she could never walk or run here on earth we believe one of her first and greatest joys was running into the arms of Jesus. She will be greatly missed. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized on October 15, 2000. She was a member of the Homestead Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Osbern and Hilda Nelson and her uncle, Willard Nelson. Left to rejoice in her life are her parents; her brother, Michael and wife Ronda; her nephews, Beau, Bryson, Brody and Blayne all of Okeene, OK; her grandmother, Leona Linn of Fairview, OK; her grandfather, Dick Jinkens of Fairview, OK; and many other friends and family. Funeral services will held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Okeene with Pastor Lonnie Ott and Pastor Dennis Benigar presiding. Interment will be at Cherryvale Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview. Memorials may be made to Ross Hospice with the funeral home acting as custodian at P.O. Box 15, Fairview, OK 73737. Condolences may be made online at www.haiglerpierce.com.
