Nuo'wahhghis Birdshead Richardson was born on February 9, 1978 in Oklahoma City to Joseph E. Birdshead and Jo Ann W. Birdshead. After fighting many health issues, Maheo called her home on June 22, 2014 in Billings, MT.
Nuo'wahhghis attended Billings Skyview High School in Billings, MT. After High School she attended The University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. Nuo'wahhghis helped many people out as a youth, when she was on the headstaff at benefit and honor dances in Cheyenne-Arapaho country. She worked with the Indian Health Service in Billings, MT, also as a phlebotomist in Stillwater, OK and Billings, MT and as a caregiver at a group home in Billings, MT. Nuo'wahhghis was married to Lewis Richardson. She has 2 children Ryan E. Gibson and Devin C. Richardson.
Nuo'wahhghis is survived by her parents Joseph and Jo Ann Birdshead of Billings, MT, her children Ryan Gibson and Devin Richardson and Husband Lewis Richardson of the home, her brothers Allen, David, Mark all of Oklahoma City, OK, Amick of Ada, OK, Phil of Billings, MT , and her sister Susan of Belcourt, ND, and many other relations and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Sgt McClain Wolftongue and Maud Hauser Wolftongue, and her paternal grandparents Joseph Jess Birdshead and Rose Tallbear Birdshead.
A traditional wake service will begin at 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Cheyenne-Arapaho Gymnasium. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Canton School Multi-Purpose Building with Pastor Gerald Panana officiating. Interment will follow in the Canton Reinterment Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK. Condolences may be made online at www.haiglerpierce.com.
