Jacqueline Charlene Barnes was born June 18, 1957 at Clinton, Oklahoma. She departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at her home in Longdale, Oklahoma with her family by her side. Jackie was raised by her grandmother May Sittingbull Hail and attended school at Longdale, Canton and Riverside. She grew up in Longdale and lived there her entire life. Jackie married Melvin Eugene Barnes, Jr. on November 9, 1976. They had four children, sons Billy and Terry and daughters Macie and Eva.

Jackie was preceded in death by a daughter, Macie Barnes; siblings Melbourn Whiteman and Brenda Martinez; She is survived by her husband, Melvin Barnes, Jr. of the home; son Billy Barnes and wife Robin of Fairview, OK, son Terry Barnes of Longdale, OK, daughter Eva Bierig of Longdale, OK; siblings David Hail and partner Debbie Hicks of Geary, OK, Louise Coyote of Newton, KS; grandchildren Skylar Barnes, Carly Barnes, Billy Barnes, Arcie Bierig, Ryleigh Bierig, Tavie Bierig, Lexi Reyes, Brent Schroeder, Jacie Murray, Kobin Atchley, Jolie Atchley and Isaac Barnes; many other extended family and friends. Jackie loved her family very much. She was a strong, beautiful woman that held her family together. Jackie enjoyed shopping and driving around the lake.

Wake services will begin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Longdale Gym. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the same venue with Pastor Lucas White officiating. Interment will follow at the Canton Reinterment Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made online at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
