Wake services for Harriet Irene Whiteshirt, 62, of El Reno, Oklahoma, will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Canton Community Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the same venue with Pastor James Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the Canton Indian Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, Oklahoma.
Harriet was born December 1, 1957 at Clinton, Oklahoma to Arlie and Laverne (White Horse) Lime. She departed this life on September 8, 2020 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Harriet was raised at Seiling, Oklahoma and attended school there.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for family events, and was a three-time winning Summerfest champion in the frybread making contest. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite past-time was trying her luck at the casinos.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; husband Virgil Whiteshirt, Jr., and one son, Delwin Whiteshirt; She is survived by three children, daughter Kristeena Sleeper and husband Jerel, daughter Alissa Carlon and son Miguel Whiteshirt and wife Raven Oliver; five sisters, Rosina Lonebear, Charlene Mendoza, Christy Cheek, Irene Lime and Leona Miller; four brothers, Manuel Lime, Gary Lime, Myron Lime and Wayne Montgomery; nine grandchildren, Aldan, Taya, Lauren Deleena and Mya Whiteshirt, Omar Trejo, Carmen Sleeper, and Jessica and Victoria Ochoa; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and family and friends.
