James Eugene Washington, 40, of El Reno, former resident of Seiling, OK, passed from this life on October 8, 2020. He was born to Gilbert and Darlene Washington in Los Angeles, CA on December 19, 1979. He grew up in the Seiling area, and attended Seiling Schools. James was a stay at home dad, raising and caring for his five children Aleilah, Raven , James “J.J.” , Charles , and Ryan with the help of the love of his life Dorcas Blackbear. The couple made their home in Seiling until recently moving to El Reno.
James was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Ruby Nightwalker and Harry and Grace Keller, parents, Gilbert and Darlene Nightwalker, and sister Shelene Whiteshirt.
Left to carry his legacy are Dorcas Blackbear of the home, children Aleilah Hill, Raven Blackbear, J.J. Washington, Charles Washington, and Ryan Washington; brother Gilbert Washington, Jr. and companion Angela Nelson of Seiling, Dawn Washington of Woodward, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Wake Services will be held from 6:00-9:00 PM on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, Oct. 12, 2020 at the First Christian Church of Seiling. Burial will follow Cantonment (Indian Mennonite) Cemetery.
