A wake service for Fred Washee, 31, of Seiling, was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Seiling-Fonda Community Center. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. today, Oct. 15, 2009, at Seiling Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Cantonment Cemetery. Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.
He was born Jan. 2, 1978, in Seiling to John Enos Jr. and Corinne Limpy Washee and died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, in Oklahoma City.
He was raised and educated in Seiling. He worked for Northern Cheyenne Forestry Department as a firefighter.
He married Monica Leigh Curtis. They made their home in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Cheyenne tribe. He attended Seiling Indian Mennonite Church and was a ceremonial member of the Native American Church.
Surviving are his wife, Monica, of the home; three sons, Fred Enis Washee Jr., Patrick Isham Washee and Christopher Louis Curtis, all of the home; five sisters, Carolyn Freeland, Emily Hill and Deann McNeal, all of Colorado, Jamie Limpy and Ann Garcia, both of Oklahoma City; three brothers, John Enos Washee III of Wichita, Kan., David Washee of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Adam Washee of Lame Deer, Mont.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant daughter.
