William Ray "Bill" Sutton
December 21, 1940 ~ January 10, 2015

Funeral services for William Ray "Bill" Sutton, 74, of Canton, OK will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Christian Church in Canton, OK with Steve Driskill officiating. Burial will follow in Canton Indian Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Bill was born December 21, 1940 to Harry Arthur Sutton and Sally Sutton at Bare Foot, Oklahoma. Bill attended school at Eagle City and Canton Schools.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1960 and served two years where he was stationed in Germany and Port of Thessaloniki. After returning home he worked for local farmers and house building in the Canton and Eagle City area. In 1969 Bill started work at USG and also married Laura Parkins. Bill and Laura had four sons, Michael, Daniel, Brandon and Eric.

Bill left his earthly home for a heavenly one January 10, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Daniel; sisters Georgia Roberts, Patricia Walker, Cora Scabbyhorse and Charlene Lime; infant brother, Arthur Warren Sutton; and longtime friends Funny Lime, Tina Lyndsay and Bob Lindsay;

Survivors include three sons, Mike, Brandon and Eric; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters Ava Benson, Nancy Suttton, Marci Armijo, Wilda Gould, LaVonta Kenrick and Viola Hatch; brothers Allan Sutton and Delbert and Freddie Lindsay; Condolences may be made online at www.haiglerpierce.com.
