Elizabeth (Surveyor) Scroggins
October 02, 1959 - October 07, 2020

Wake services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday evening, October 15, 2020 at the Canton Community Center, Canton, OK for Elizabeth (Surveyor) Scroggins, 61, of Hugo, OK, formerly of Canton, with Reverend Waylon Upchego officiating. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2020 at the same venue. Interment will follow at Cantonment Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Elizabeth was born October 2, 1959 at Clinton, Oklahoma to Elmer Charles and Elizabeth (Lime) Surveyor. She departed this life on October 7, 2020 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Elizabeth’s early years were spent in Canton prior to her being adopted and moving to the southeast area of state near Broken Bow, Oklahoma. She graduated high school there and attended vo-tech training in the medical field. Elizabeth worked for many years as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), most recently for Choctaw County EMS. She loved her work and enjoyed being able to help others. Elizabeth enjoyed watching her granchildren’s sporting events, doing beadwork, watching documentaries, and was a huge OU fan. Elizabeth served our country in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; brother Charles Surveyor, Jr.; sister Linda Rhoads;

She is survived by her husband Sam Scroggins of the home in Hugo,OK; son Brandon D. “Junior” Moreno of Houston, TX, daughters Devon Torres and husband Jacob Peterson of Oklahoma City, OK and Caitlin Torres of Hugo, OK, and son Carlos Torres, Jr. of Hugo, OK; sister Norma Surveyor Jones of Broken Bow, OK; brothers Jerry Surveyor and wife Cordell of Albuquerque, NM and Harvey DeWayne Surveyor and wife Cheyenne of Canton, OK; grandchildren Dayson Williams, Deana Peterson, Jakiyas Peterson, Natayziah Torres, Kenneth Freeman, Jr., Jaydis Peterson and Rio Torres; nieces and nephews Kim Jones, Micheal Jones, Keelan Jones, Kendra Jones and Khelby Jones.
