BYRON LITTLE COYOTE was born December 31, 1956 at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. He was the son of Charles and Helen (Whiteman) Little Coyote. He died Monday, August 13, 2012 near Manchester, Oklahoma in Grant County following an accidental fall from an oil rig. He was 55 years of age.
Byron attended school at Medicine Lodge. He moved to Anthony, Kansas and worked for Harper Industries in Harper, Kansas seventeen and a half years. He went to work in the oil fields and was a driller for Duke Energy. At the time of his sudden death, he was working as a motorman for Atlas Drilling Company.
He married Bonnie Houser and they had one daughter, Jamie. He later married Kathleen Stoabs and they had two children, Allison and Eric. Byron enjoyed bowling, playing baseball and softball and he coached Eric's baseball team.
He is survived by his children, Jamie Houser-Little Coyote of Wichita, KS, Allison Little Coyote and Eric Little Coyote both of Anthony, KS, three grandchildren, Conner, Oakley and Summer, one brother Myron Little Coyote of El Reno, three sisters, Pelma Captain and Charlene Little Coyote both of Wichita, KS and Wanda Little Coyote of El Reno. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clifford Little Coyote.
A traditional wake service was held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 and the funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 both at the Seiling-Fonda Community Center in Seiling. Burial followed in the Cantonment Cemetery directed by the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling.
