Jack Allen Hail was born on November 25, 1960 in Okeene, Oklahoma to Joyce Pauline Shawnee and Charles Andy Hail. His journey home began at Sunrise, August 19, 2017.
He attended school in Canton, Longdale and Canadian Valley VoTech where he received his certificate in carpentry. The beginning of his career took him across the United States, from Hawaii to Maine. Later he made his home in El Reno with his longtime companion, Marian Haag Birdshead.
Jack's hobbies included beading, fishing, teaching his nephews and son his trade, watching OU football games, and most of all he loved to Gourd Dance. Dancing with the Oklahoma Indian Nations' Renegades was a favorite memory of his. As a member of the El Reno Indian Baptist Church, his faith carried him through difficult times and kept him in good spirits.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Joyce Hail; and his twin sister, Jacqueline Ellen Hail; He is survived by his brother, Michael Wilbur Osage; his daughters, Laquita Joyce Hail, Christina Birdshead, Janelle Birdshead, Cluritha Cozad and Leroya Cozad; his sons, Michael Coyote, Terrence Little John and Ralph Birdshead, Jr; his aunt Renee Meat and husband Charles; uncles Irvin Bull and Bill Pratt; cousins Jackie Barnes and Louise Coyote; numerous other nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Traditional Indian Wake services will begin at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, August 22, 2017 at the Canton Native American Gymnasium. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August, 23, 2017 at the same venue with Pastor Willie Doyeto and Pastor Tom Straka officiating. Interment will follow in the Canton Indian Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK.
