Alana Deene (Scabbyhorse) Blackwolf
October 26, 1951 - June 28, 2015

A traditional all-night wake service will begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, July 1, 2015 at the Canton Native American Gym for Alana Deene Scabbyhorse Blackwolf, 63, of Canton, OK. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the same venue with Rev. George Akeen, Jr. and Rev. Donnie Ahhaitty officiating. Interment will follow in the Canton Indian Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Alana Deene (Scabbyhorse) Blackwolf was born on October 26, 1951 at Clinton, OK to James and Cora Mae (Sutton) Scabbyhorse. She left this world on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Oklahoma City, OK.

Alana enjoyed life and was always happy. She graduated from Canton High School in 1971. She later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Weatherford, OK for two years. She enjoyed playing softball, and was chosen as MVP of a softball tournament in Watonga. She also enjoyed ice skating and playing handgame.

Alana was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tommy Joe Blackwolf, Sr.; one daughter, McKenzie Blackwolf; She is survived by three children, one daughter, Jamie Blackwolf Yellowfish and husband James of Oklahoma City, OK, two sons, Tommy Joe Blackwolf, Jr. and Corey James Blackwolf both of Canton, OK; sister Ronnie Scabbyhorse and brother Ray Scabbyhorse both of Canton, OK and sister Kelly Williams of Fay, OK; four grandchildren, Christopher Fairbanks, Jr., Desmond Fairbanks, Nea'He Fairbanks all of Oklahoma City, OK and Nikota Blackwolf Haag of El Reno, OK; five great-grandchildren; two nephews, Kiley Scabbyhorse of Canton, OK and Schuyler Williams of Louisiana; one niece, Jordi Brown of Rock Springs, WY; two great-grand-nieces, Alyssa Brown and Hayvn Brown, both of Rock Springs, WY; Condolences may be made online at www.haiglerpierce.com.
