Graveside services for Floyd Thomas Reeves, 67, of Fairview will be Monday, August 31, 2020 at 10:30 am in the Canton Cemetery, Canton Oklahoma. The Reverend Charlie Newman will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Floyd Thomas Reeves passed from this life Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home in Fairview, Oklahoma. He was born in Anthony, Texas on February 2nd, 1953 to Ben and Yvonne (Motter) Reeves.

Floyd grew up in Holden, Missouri and attended school there, graduating from Holden High School in 1971.. After graduation, he joined the US Marine Corps and upon completion of his tour of duty, he received an honorable discharge and returned home. He married Betty Colleen Stewart on November 2, 1975 in Holden, Missouri. After the wedding, the happy couple moved to Fairview, Oklahoma. To this blessed union was born three sons, Chris, Brian and Lance.

Floyd worked at United States Gypsum (USG), in Southard, Oklahoma just south of Fairview, for many years until he retired. Floyd’s wife Betty passed away on April 3, 2006 at the young age of 49. Floyd continued to take care of Chris and live life.

Floyd was a kind and gentle man that had many friends. He was always helping people in town. He mowed many lawns around town just to help out. Floyd always mowed and helped his best friend Pam O’Malley with her lawn, kids and grandkids. If you saw him drive around town in his red pickup you would always get a smile and a wave. Floyd would always greet you with a happy “how are you doing today”. Floyd was a loved man by his family and friends and will be truly missed by all who knew him

Floyd is survived by; two sons, Chris and Brian Reeves, one sister, Joyce DeLuca, four brothers, David Reeves, Gary Reeves, his twin Charles Reeves, and Paul Reeves, and his special best friend Pam O’Malley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, son Lance, and one brother, Steve Reeves.
