Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Canton United Methodist Church with interment at Canton Cemetery.

Betty Corrine (Staples) Hoffman Laubach
July 17, 1934 ~ January 8, 2022

Betty Corrine (Hoffman) Laubach was born July 17, 1934 at Clinton, Oklahoma to parents Lue and Ethel Mae (Simmons) Staples. She departed this life on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Okeene, Oklahoma.

Betty attended Canton schools and graduated with the class of 1952. She married Leroy Hoffman on November 4, 1951. She and Leroy owned and operated the Staples Hardware Store in Canton for many years. After Leroy’s passing Betty sold the hardware store. She married Arnold Laubach on April 19, 1985 and they resided at Loyal, Oklahoma. Betty worked at Walmart in Kingfisher. After Arnold’s passing Betty retired and moved back to her hometown of Canton.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Leroy Hoffman and Arnold Laubach; sister Roberta Henson; and a son-in-law Dennis Tautfest;

Survivors include one son, Robert Hoffman and wife Shirley of Canton, Oklahoma; one daughter, Gayle Tautfest of Canton, Oklahoma; step-children Paul Laubach and wife Rhonda of Okeene, Oklahoma, Eric Laubach and wife Angel of Tennessee, Cindy Dunn of Michigan and Lisa Baker of Okeene, Oklahoma; one brother, Ronald Staples of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Canton United Methodist Church with Keith Robinett officiating. Interment will follow at Canton Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. Memorials may be made to the Canton United Methodist Church with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724. Condolence messages may be written at
