ENID — Funeral for Leo Kopf, 85, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at First
Baptist Church, Canton. Pastor Harold Hook officiating. Burial with military
honors in Canton Cemetery. Arrangements by Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
Leo was born Oct. 12, 1925, in Homestead, Okla., to Gust and Grace Erb Kopf and
died Monday, May 9, 2011, in Oklahoma City.
Surviving are wife, Clydene Kopf; children, Shirley Peterson, Doris Earnest,
Charlene Halley, Karen Wardwell, Tom Hunter, Greg Hunter and Matt Peterson; 13
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one son, two brothers and one sister.

Leo Castle Kopf was born on October 12, 1925 at Homestead, OK to Gust and Grace (Erb) Kopf. He passed from this life on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Oklahoma City, OK. Leo enjoyed dancing, playing cards and tinkering with vehicles. He also enjoyed spending time at his farm and with his family. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Leo worked at United States Gypsum for 40 years as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Warren Kopf; two brothers, George and Joseph Kopf; one sister, Mary Rose Honeyfield; Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Clydene Kopf; children Shirley Peterson and husband Joe of Hastings, MN, Doris Earnest of Fairview, OK, Charlene Halley and husband Duke of Woodward, OK, Karen Wardwell and husband John of OKC, OK, Tom Hunter and wife Mary of Woodward, OK and Greg Hunter and wife Pam of Ponca City, OK; Grandchildren are Diana Greer and husband Richard, Kelly Kopf, Noe Ponce, Erik Ponce and wife Terri, Monica Wardwell, Steffanie Halley, Brian Hunter, Kristen Kallio, Jennifer Thompson, Eric Hunter, Tim Wardwell, Chad Hunter, Brooke Hunter, Matt Peterson and Lindsay Peterson; Great grandchildren are Kaylon Greer, Ethan Ponce, Zayne Greer, Isaac Thompson, Kai Kallio and Ellena Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Canton with Pastor Harold Hook officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in Canton Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Canton with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36 Canton, OK 73724. Condolences may be made online at www.haiglerpierce.com.
