LARRY R. HEWITT
WATONGA - The funeral for Larry Ray Hewitt, 53, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church. Mike McReynolds will officiate. Burial will be in Canton Cemetery. Arrangements are by Haigler Funeral Home.

He was born March 5, 1948, in Watonga to Wayne and Jean Hewitt and died Monday, April 9, 2001, at his home in Weatherford.

He attended Con 6 School and graduated from Canton High School in 1966. He moved to Dallas after attending Southwestern College for one year and worked in construction industry as a heavy equipment operator. Due to ill health, he moved back to Canton in 1987. The past four years, he had lived in Weatherford. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Canton. He married Belinda Wright in 1968 and later married Carol Kelly.

Surviving are three children, Tim Hewitt of Fort Worth, Texas, Kelly Hewitt and Kristi Hewitt, both of Terrel, Texas; his parents,Wayne and Jean Hewitt of Seiling; one sister, Jana Smith of Weatherford; and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to the church.
