William Deane "Billy" Gray

William Deane "Billy" Gray
September 10, 1975 ~ April 10, 2021

William “Billy” Deane Gray was born Sept 10, 1975, and unexpectedly passed away April 10, 2021 at his home in Weatherford, OK. He attended Canton Public Schools where he made several lifelong friends while participating in Gifted & Talented, Cub Scouts, and the school band and graduated in 1994. He attended Ozark Christian College and culinary school.

Billy enjoyed fishing, watching an OU game, coming up with new recipes in the kitchen and on the grill, and spending time with the people he loved. He was always making plans to see friends or was just returning from a visit and made a point to attend every family gathering and was always in charge of bringing pie. Most times he could be found laughing and making jokes with somebody, playing with the dog, or arranging his plate to perfection. He graced us all with his tender spirit, always thinking of the needs of others before his own. He was humble and thoughtful, always ready to help someone in need without asking anything in return. Whether you needed help with a building project, a ride, a piece of advice, or just someone to be with you, he was always there.

It was an honor and a privilege to live life with Billy. We were all challenged, inspired, and encouraged by the man he was and are grateful for the time we had with him.

He was preceded in death by Cecil and Peggy Gray, Jim and Maxine Grothe Jackson, Billy Joe and Loretta Follis, and Daniel and Lucy Shaw, and Irene Gettys. He is survived by his parents Gary and Mary Gray of Fairview, OK., Carl and Barbara Edwards of Longdale, OK. Siblings David and Candace Gray Simmons and children Chloe, Emma, and Prairie Rose of Mooreland, OK., Brian and Destiny Stephens and children Brianna and Ryne of Jenks, OK., Jason and Whitney Edwards and children EffieJo and Arlin of Laverne, OK., Justin and Brandy Edwards and children Chelsea, Casey, Krista, Baylee, Addie, Levi, and Easton of Fairview, OK., and Kenny and Marijo McKinley and children Lesli and Gabriela of Laverne, OK as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and huge loving and loyal family of friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 24th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Canton cemetery. The family welcomes contributions to a Go Fund Me account in his name or the Weatherford Animal Shelter. Condolences may be made online at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
