A traditional Indian wake service will begin at 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening, November 15, 2015 at the Canton Native American Gymnasium for Amy Gould, 30, of Canton, OK. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Canton School Multi-purpose building with Rev. George Akeen, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Canton Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
Amy Gould was born on December 12, 1984 at Clinton, OK to Kathy Ann Williams and the late Rupert Lewis Gould. She was raised in the Canton community. Amy attended Canton School and graduated with the class of 2003. She moved to Cherokee, NC in 2004, where she attended the Southwestern Community College in Sylva, NC. Amy was employed at various places in Cherokee, NC. In 2010, Amy moved back to the Canton community and was employed at the Canton and Watonga Feather Warrior Casinos as a cook before moving to Midwest City in July 2015. Amy spent all her time raising her children and loved them dearly. She enjoyed going to powwows, shopping and spending time with family and friends. Amy loved spending time with her niece Aiyana and her nephew Ayden, her mother, sister and brother who was always there for her anytime she needed them they were always a phone call or text away. Amy enjoyed traveling and spending time with her late grandmother Ida who she missed dearly. In 2013 she met her companion Cody Moore. Before her unexpected death Amy was planning on returning to finish school and buying a home for her children in Hennessey, OK.
Amy was preceded in death by her father Rupert Lewis Gould; her maternal grandparents Kenneth and Ida Williams; her paternal grandpa Wilson Lime; Amy is survived by her two sons Isaac David Tsatoke and Wasose Slayne Moore, and daughter Zaina Malia Williams; her mother Kathy Ann Williams of Canton, OK; one sister Amanda Gould and brother-in-law Will Lambert of Cherokee, NC; one brother Kenneth Perry Gould and sister-in-law Renita Harjo of Cherokee, NC; paternal grandmother Daisy Green-Gould of Canton, OK; also her niece Aiyana Lambert and nephew Ayden Lambert of Cherokee, NC; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
