Johnny E. Frazer
September 12, 1949 ~ June 16, 2022

Johnny E. Frazer was born September 12, 1949 at Watonga, Oklahoma to Earnest and Mary (Williams) Frazer. He departed this life on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Elk City, Oklahoma.

Johnny began early on helping on the family farms. HIs parents settled in the Orion community. Johnny attended Liberty country school before graduating high school at Fairview, Oklahoma with the class of 1967. He also attended Okmulgee Tech where he learned auto mechanics and welding.

He married Twila Warner on June 7, 1980 at Canton Lake Longdale shelter and stayed in Colorado Springs for their honeymoon. Johnny raced drag cars in his younger years and won numerous trophies and made Track Eliminator at Woodward drag strip. He worked for 40 years for BNSF Railroad before retirement. He was a traveling man and built many railroad bridges as a pile driver engineer in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, and California. Johnny also loved raising cattle and did so for many years in the Orion community. When asked if he was still working for the railroad, he would say, “Well yeah it’s the only way to pay for my hobby of farming.”

He liked to fish, although after his wife got him a lifetime fishing license it seemed to take the fun out of it. He also enjoyed old television shows such as Andy Griffith, the Honeymooners, Gunsmoke and early westerns.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Twila Frazer; one daughter, Tylee Frazer; two grandchildren, Atlee Fuller and Andrew John Fuller; four sisters, Sue Case and husband Rodger, Bonnie Clinesmith, Pat Canaday and husband Jim and Debbie Horn and husband Bob; several nieces and nephews and extended family. A private graveside committal was held at Canton Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Orion Fire Department with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
