The funeral service for Roy Lee Farris, 55, of Canton, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Canton Christian Church with John Henley officiating. Interment will follow in Canton Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home of Canton, OK. Roy Lee Farris was born April 2, 1954 in Boise City, OK to Claudia Marie (Addington) and Judson Travis Farris. He passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 in Oklahoma City, OK. He grew up in Boise City, OK and attended school there, elementary through high school, where he graduated in 1973. He moved to Seiling, OK in 1975. Roy worked for Irving Consturction, and later moved to Oakwood, OK. On July 1, 1979 he went to work for Mustang Fuel, and it later became Enogex Inc. He was married to Sharon Sue Sechler on March 28, 1980. Along with this union came two sons, James Michael and Terance Lee. He moved to Canton, OK in 1982 where he lived until his death. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Hestin Cole Farris. He is survived by his parents; wife Sharon of the home; two sons, Mike and wife Jenny of Purcell, OK and Terry and wife Annie of Piedmont, OK; two brothers, Travis and wife Dee of Boise City, OK and Barney and wife Debby of Cheraw, CO; one sister, Delpha Burleson and husband Tony of Purcell, OK; three grandchildren, Shelby and Brendan of Purcell, OK and Hayley of Piedmont, OK; and a host of relatives and friends; Memorials may be made to the Piedmont Takedown Club through Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, P.O.
