Funeral services for Terry Allen Chaloupek, 76, of Longdale, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Canton Christian Church with Pastor Michael Grigsby officiating. Interment will follow at Canton Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
Terry Allen Chaloupek was born July 7, 1947 at Canton, Oklahoma to Allen and Lucille (Seifried) Chaloupek. He departed this life at his rural home near Longdale, Oklahoma early Friday morning, November 10, 2023 with his family at his side.
Terry graduated with the class of 1966 at Seiling High School. He was an All District and All State running back on the Seiling football team that were State Champions in 1965. Terry earned a scholarship to play college football at Dodge City, Kansas and later transferred to Southwestern at Weatherford. Terry married Patty Parkhurst on July 28, 1993 at Watonga, Oklahoma. He was a truck driver for many years and he enjoyed raising and caring for his sheep.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara Louthan and Gloria Seal; He is survived by his wife, Patty Chaloupek; one son, Bobby Parkhurst and wife Mary; one daughter, Chera Merimon and husband Joe; grandchildren Ryan and wife Starlin, Jimmie, Gracie, Kirstin, Brianna, Devin, Axtyn and Jett; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
