Winnona Jo (Doak) Bridgeford
February 12, 1948 ~ February 04, 2021

Winnona Jo Bridgeford, 72, of Canton, OK passed away on February 4th, 2021 in Weatherford, OK. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 10th at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Canton Christian Church with Pastor Michael Grigsby officiating. Interment will follow at Canton Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK.

Winnona was born on February 12th, 1948 in Wetumka, OK to William Leslie and Freelin Ruth (Birdwell) Doak. She attended most of her school years at Weatherford.

Winnona spent most of her years working in various banks in different positions. Most recently, she worked as a loan officer for Community State Bank of Canton where she retired.

Winnona had two children, Brian & Sharla. Her greatest and most precious accomplishments were her 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who adoringly referred to her as “Mema”.

Winnona is preceded in death by her parents, Les & Freelin Doak and her brother & her sister-in-law, Gary & Pam Doak and sister-in-law Collis Doak.

She is survived by her son Brian Clark & wife, Linda of The Colony, TX; daughter Sharla Jackson & husband, Wes of Arlington, TX; grandchildren Lindsey, Ross, JD, Logan & Austin; great-grandchildren Asher, Ember & Jaren; sister Carolyn Killman & husband Lonnie of Ringwood, OK; sister Patty Conkling & husband Bill of Longdale, OK; brother LD Doak of Canton, OK; brother Randy Doak & wife Loretta of Fairview, OK; sister Darlene Doak of Canton, OK; sister Brenda Doak of Canton, OK; best friend Renee Mae Ryburn of Weatherford, OK and numerous extended family members.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing nurses and doctors that cared for Winnona the last few years at Corn Heritage Village in Weatherford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America through the funeral home at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.

The service will be telecast on Facebook Live via Pierce Funeral Home’s facebook page.
