Enid News and Eagle July 10, 2006 

Recitation of the rosary for Edna Oberst, 93, of Enid, will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Ratterman will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Okeene. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

She was born May 28, 1913, in Hitchcock, to Chris and Mollie Nusz Weber and died Friday, July 7, 2006, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid.

She graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1932. She married Henry Oberst and they lived in Okeene and Hennessey. They farmed, raised chickens, turkeys, and vegetables. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Okeene and St. Joseph’s in Hennessey. Henry died in 1985 and she moved to Enid in 1987. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Enid.

Surviving are four children, Mary Miller of Drummond, Betty Biggs of Hitchcock, Charlotte Stettinisch of Enid and LeRoy Oberst of Okeene; one sister, Mildred Modrick of Garland, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, one daughter and two sisters.
