Age 72, of Okeene, OK, passed September 7, 2021. Funeral mass will be Saturday, Sep. 11, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Okeene with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Gary Wayne Lorenz was born March 25, 1949, at Okeene, Oklahoma to Verne and Mary (Kubat) Lorenz and passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the age of 72.

Gary was a resident of the Okeene Community his entire life, where he was the feed store manager at Lorenz Ok Seed for 40 years. He attended high school in Okeene and graduated in 1967, whereafter he attended Oklahoma State University. Gary was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, as well as the Okeene Quarterback Club.

Gary is preceded in death by his father, Verne Lorenz.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Lorenz of Okeene, OK; Three brothers, Gregory Lorenz of Okeene, OK, Freddie Lorenz and wife, Kathy, of Okeene, OK, Mark Lorenz and his wife, Patricia of Yukon, OK, and one sister, Linda Lorenz of Okeene, OK. Also surviving Gary are his six nieces and nephews, Misty Lorenz, Kyle Lorenz, Todd Lorenz, Travis Lorenz, Beau Lorenz, and Zachary Jackson.

Viewing for Gary Lorenz will be Thursday, September 9th, from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Friday, September 10th, from 9:00 A.M. until the Rosary.

Rosary will be held Friday, at 6:00 P.M. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian burial will take place Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Okeene, with Father Jarek Topolewski officiating and Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Okeene.

Memorial Contributions may be made to: St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
