Marion E. "Mike" Gordon was born January 25, 1964 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Naomi Colleen and Delton R. Gordon, Jr. He passed away October 19, 2008 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 24 days. Mike attended Erick School and graduated from Erick High School in 1964. He continued his education at Cameron University. He was married to June Morrow at Erick, Oklahoma on June 5, 1965 and they moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma where he attended Southwestern State College, graduating in 1969 with a Batchelor's Degree in Accounting. Mike and June moved to Ponca City and he went to work for Conoco. In 1981, he transferred to Hobbs, NM. In 1984, he left Conoco to return to Erick to help his father with the farm and ranch operation. He later began working for James Crook and earned his CPA. He remained with James Crook and Crook Tax Accounting Service until retiring in September of 2008.
He was preceded in death by his father and 1 brother, Ricky. Survived by his wife, June, of the home; 2 daughters, Kimberle McIntyre and husband, nd Courtney, Erick, OK; and Tere King and husband, Greg, Ohatchee, AL; 1 grandson, Collin McIntyre, his mother, Colleen Gordon, Erick, OK; 1 sister, Gayal Splinter and husband, Harold, Erick, OK; 1 sister-in-law, Jackie Morrow, Erick, OK; 1 brother-in-law, Ray Morrow, Phoenix, AZ, host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held October 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Texola Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Charlie Floyd. Burial will be at Texola Cemetery under the direction of Fatheree Albert Funeral Home
