Billy Cornelius was born September 16, 1961 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Barbara Jean and Guy Cornelius. He passed away August 20, 2017 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 4 days.

Billy grew up in the Spring Creek community and attended school at Sayre and graduated from Carter High School in 1980. After graduation he worked with his father and uncle Curtis on the family farm until 1983 when he attended Oklahoma State University Technical Branch where he received diesel mechanic certificate in 1985. He briefly moved to Tulsa where he found employment before returning back to western Oklahoma where he went to work as a roughneck in the oil and natural gas industry. Billy enjoyed anything dealing with Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was able to attend the Sturgis rally. Billy always had a smile on his face, never met a stranger, would give anyone the shirt off his back and would talk to anyone as long as they would listen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his daughter, Terri Bradford, Amarillo, TX; 3 sisters, Louise Hankins and husband, Clyde, Yukon, OK, Ann Turner and husband, Charlie, Tulsa, OK and Marjorie Stroupe and husband, Charles, Yukon, OK; 1 niece, Stephanie Hankins, Dallas, TX and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
