Elizabeth Allie "Lizzie" Wade, 90, died June 10, 1996. Funeral serviceds were held Wednesday, June 12, 1996 at the Sayre Church of Christ with Eddie Beard and Kevin Ballard officiating. Burial was in the Mayfield Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wade, the daughter of John and Annie Brothers Topper, was born on March 28, 1906, in Sweetwater. She attended Roundtrop School and married E.M. Wade on January 10, 1933, in Sayre. They lived east of Sayre until 1963, when Mrs. Wade moved into Sayre. Mr. Wade preceded her in death in November 1962. Mrs. Wade devoted her time to taking care of family and the elderly and was also known for her ability to bake cakes. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, one sister and two stepchildren.
She is survived by two stepchildren, Allen Wade and Jackie Wright, both of Sayre; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
