Terrell B. Sims, services were held Friday, July 17, 1964 in the Sayre Methodist church with Rev. Daris Parker officiating. Mr. Sims passed away July 14, 1964, in the Memorial Hospital, Elk City at the age of 83 years, 6 months.

Born in Rockwall, Texas on January 14, 1881, he was married November 4, 1904, to Ellen Collins at Rockwall. In 1905 they moved to Roger Mills County where they resided until moving to Sayre in 1960 to make their home.

Survivors are his wife, Ellen of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Viola Baldwin, of Grapevine, Texas, Mrs. Ethel Chick, Sayre, Mrs. Bertha Chick, Grand Junction, Colorado, and Mattie Welch; five sons, Cecil of Maderia, California; B., Woodrow, Joe, all of Sayre, and J.C. of Dumas, Texas; three brothers Walter, John and Virgil all of Cheyenne; 42 grandchildren; and 57 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pall bearers were Lloyd Sims, Bobby Sims, Billy Sims, Ronnie Sims, Jerry Chick, and Dwain Macklin.

Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
