Funeral services of Ladeen Swart were held Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sayre Assembly of God Church with Rev. Damon Akins and Floyd Courtney officiating. Burial was in the Carter Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Ladeen, the daughter of Mammie Jewel and Eskie John Markham, was born September 27, 1928 in Carter, OK and passed away February 2, 2002 in deaconess Hospital, Oklahoma City at the age of 73 years, four months and five days.
Ladeen attended school at Carter and moved with her parents to Sayre in March of 1950. She was married to John Walter Swart at canute, OK on November 22, 1970 and they made their home in Sayre. Ladeen had worked for Sayre Steam Laundry and Esquire Cleaners. She later workede at Hill''s Cafe and retired from Sayre Senior Citizens Center in 1990. She was a member of the Sayre Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Margaret Markham.
She is survived by one brother, Haskell Markham of Sayre, OK and three aunts, Flo Huffman and Bonnie Sunderland both of Weatherford, OK and Pearl Tatum, of Nocona, TX.
