Funeral services for Aleta "Leta" Bartz Sowell will be held Friday, July 15, 2005 at 2p.m., at Schooler Funeral Homed Brentwood Chapel in Amarillo, Texas. A private burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Sweetwaer, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Leta was born November 26, 1935 in Sayre to Lester and Edith Bartz and died Wednesday July 13, 2005 at the age of 69. She was raised in the Sweetwater community. When she graduated high school she resided in the Sweetwater-Sayre community until moving to Amarillo in 1964. She was a bookkeeper/secretary.
She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Lowrance, two granddaughters, Julie and Alyssa Lowrence, and her parents, Lester and Edith Bartz.
