Ruth Nellie Musick was born Februaary 12, 1922 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma,
to Nellie May Varnell and John Franklin Vaarnell. She passed away
February 15, 2002 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years and 4
days. Ruth was married to Scooter Musick at Sayre on April 5, 1941.
She was a lifelong resident of Roger Mills County. Ruth was preceded
in death by her parents, husband, one son Roger Musick, one daughter
Opal Faye Butler, four brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services were held Monday, Feburary 18, 2002 at 2:00 PM
officiated by Rev. Juanice Parkhurst. Burial will be at Cheyenne
Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction
of Rose Chapel Funeral Services.
Survivors include: sons, T.J. Musick of Foss, Oklahoma, Johnnie Musick
of Chickasha, Oklahoma, E.L. Musick of Alex, Oklahoma; two brothers,
Jackie Varnell of Harmony, W. VA., Arlene Varnell of Sayre, OK.; three
sisters, Lois Marshall of Sayre, OK., Mattie Cox of Elk City, OK.,
Faye Lievy of Reno, Nevaada, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren;
2 great great grandchildren; number other relatives and friends.
