Mrs. Willie Francis Kendall Cheyenne Star Submitted by: Wanda Purcell
Mrs. Willie Francis Kendall, Cheyenne, died at the Erick hospital Thursday, July 12, 1962 after a short illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist church, Cheyenne, with Rev. John R. Kelly and Rev. Earl Bengs, Cheyenne, officiating.
Mrs. Kendall was born March 27, 1880 at Georges Creek, Texas. She was married to William Edward Kendall at Georges Creek. They moved to Roll, Oklahoma and later to Strong City in 1918, Anadarko in 1944, Winslow, Arizona in 1955, moving back to Cheyenne in 1959.
A member of the First Baptist church, Mrs. Kendall is survived by her husband of the home, three daughters, Mrs. J.A. Diffendaffer, Largo, Florida, Mrs. Bula Reece, Gallup, New Mexico, Mrs. D.E. Hollingworth, Phoenix, Arizona; four sons, Dr. Robert Kendall, Erick, William D. of Nashville, Tennessee, Leslie F. of Corpus Christa, Texas and Paul E. of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
