Blanch Etta Penny was born October 6, 1893, at Newton, Kansas and died February 10, 1927, at her home Sweetwater, Oklahoma. At the age of eight she moved to this vicinity with her parents where she resided until she was married to Samuel Thomas Githens October 3, 1920. To this union were born three children: Zenoha Ilene, age 5 years, Robert Samuel age 3 years; Carl Willace, age 10 days.
She and her husband were united with the Baptist Church of Texola, Oklahoma in 1922, and she was a faithful worker until the death angel came and called her home.
She leaves a hubsand and three children, a father, mother, three sisters, one brother and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death.
Funeral services were conducgted at Roll Sunday by Rev. H.B. Donnell, pastor of the Baptist church of Cheyenne. Burial Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
