Jakie "Jake" Raymond Coym

Jakie "Jake" Raymond Coym, a resident of Reydon was born March 5, 1923 in Durham, Oklahoma to Sarah Elizabeth Jones Coym and John Herman Coym. He passed away January 24, 2002 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years 10 months and 19 days.
He was married to Thelma Arlene Clay Coym at Sweetwater, OK on June 25, 1944. He served 33 years in the Milirary. Jakie was a co-founder and Charter Member in Bosque River Chapter of Good Sams Club at Waco, Texas. He loved to paly dominoes and cards along with hunting, fishing, camping and farming.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He always lived life to the fullest with a smile on his face and a sense of humor to be envied. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Johnnie Coym and one sister, Elsie Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Coym, of the home, one daughter, Barbara Cook of Katy, TX; two sons, Jackie Coym and wife Mary of Hamilton, Ohio and David Coym and wife Jeanette of Katy, TX; a specila nephew, Mike Coym of Cleburn, TX; two sisters, Ethel Gray of Fritz, TX and Margaret Adams of Greely, CO; one brother, James Coym of Cheyenne, OK; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, January 26, 2002, 3:00 PM, officiated by Chuck Milner. Burial followed at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
