Funeral services for Bess Brewer will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Berlin Cemetery officiated by Gary Baird. Burial will be in the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre.

Bess Brewer was born October 14, 1920 in Sayre to Lera Belle and William Frank Brewer and died Saturday June 24, 2006 in Sayre at the age of 85.

Bess grew up in the Sayre area and graduated from Lindsey High School in 1938. After graduation she continued her education at the University of Oklahoma. She later moved with her parents in the Berlin community. She was a member of the Elk City First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lera Belle Brewer.

Survivors included several cousins including, Velma Baldwin and husband, Ervin of Sayre, Steve Shirley and wife, Judy of Elk City and Tim Shirley of Sayre.
