Clifford "Cliff" Ray Bilbrey was born March 30, 1934 in
Carter, Oklahoma to Lucile and A. O. Bilbrey. He passed away May 17, 2016 at Elk
City, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 17 days.
Cliff grew up in the Retrop community and graduated from Carter High School in
1952. After graduation he entered the United States Army where he served in
Germany for two years. He was honorably discharged at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas on
December 21, 1955. Cliff began furthering his education at Frank Phillips
College in Borger, Texas before he transferred to West Texas A&M where he
obtained his bachelor's degree in business administration. During his time in
college he was married to Betty Delores (Brown) Bilbrey at Carter, Oklahoma on
February, 9 1958. After their marriage they moved to various cities throughout
Texas following Cliff's career. In 2001 Cliff retired from Conoco and they moved
to the farm outside Carter, Oklahoma where they made their home. Besides his
family, Cliff's passion in life was collecting and restoring 2 cylinder John
Deere tractors. He also attended Retrop Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Troy Bilbrey.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; son, Ricky Bilbrey and wife,
Martha, Garland, TX; daughter, Sandy Wills and husband, Carl, Richardson, TX; 5
grandchildren, Elizabeth Oden and husband, Kevin, Rowlett, TX, Katie Bilbrey,
Dallas, TX, Andrew Bilbrey, Garland, TX, Austin Wills and wife, Kayli,
Tallahassee, FL, Ashley Wills, Richardson, TX; 1 great grandson, Eli Joseph Oden,
Rowlett, TX; 1 sister, Laverne Alexander, Elk City, OK and a host of other
relatives and friends.
