Kenneth Samuel Greer was born January 19, 1974 in Taft, Texas to
Lorena Mae and James LeRoy Greer. He passed away June 2, 2016 at Erick,
Oklahoma at the age of 42 years, 4 months and 13 days.
Kenneth grew up in Erick, Oklahoma and graduated from Erick High School in
1992. After graduation he went to work for Beckham County for a few years
until he obtained employment with the Erick Cotton Gin. He was married to
Perisha Hill at Sweetwater on July 1, 2000. To this union two daughters were
born, Nesha in 2001 and Jaidyn in 2003. After his children were born,
Kenneth began his career in the oil field driving a truck. He enjoyed
playing basketball with his daughters, tinkering with projects, racing dirt
track racecars, OU sports and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, daughter, Kanesha "Nesha" Ann
Greer, niece, Jacey Machelle Greer.
He is survived by his 1 daughter, Jaidyn Greer, Sweetwater, OK; mother,
Lorena Greer, Erick, OK; 1 sister, Linda Ledbetter and husband, Jim, Dumas,
TX; 4 brothers, James Greer and wife, Marianne, Erick, OK, Wayne Greer,
Altus, OK, Rickey Greer and wife, Judy, Erick, OK and Kevin Greer and wife,
Lora, Erick, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held June 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Rose Chapel officiated
by Pastor Mark Reyes and Bro. Charlie Floyd. Burial will be at Mayfield
Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can
