Everett Gale Dorrell was born August 22, 1930 in Erick Oklahoma to Myrtle Bell
Miller and Henry Edmond Dorrell and passed into his loving Lords arms on January
1, 2018 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 10 days.
Gale as he was known to family and friends grew up in Mayfield, Oklahoma and
graduated from Sweetwater High School. He served in the United States Air Force
at a young age of 17 years. Gale farmed for about 10 years and then was self
employed for his remaining years. Gale was a loving father and grandfather. His
laughter brought great joy to his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Rebecca Dorrell and 2
brothers, Hershel and Edsel Dorrell.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Roger Gale Dorrell and wife, Gaynelle, Texola, OK
and Randall Gene Dorrell and wife, Ellen, Texola, OK; 1 daughter, Debra Jan
Waight and husband, John, Mineral Wells, TX; 6 grandchildren, Ron Dorrell and
wife, Heather, Cypress, TX, Crystal Bixler and husband, Jason, San Antonio, TX,
Clay Dorrell, Texola, OK, Erika Dorrell, Cordell, OK, Trella Waight, Willow
Park, TX, Meredith Crouse and husband, Brad, Carter, OK; 8 great grandchildren,
Skylar Dorrell, Braden Dorrell, Zachary Bixler, Sophia Bixler, Timothy Jones,
Raiden Jones, Emileigh and Maddyn Crouse; several nieces, nephew and a host of
other relatives and friends.
Bless those that mourn for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
Family requests that Memorials be made to the Texola Baptist Church or Hensley's
Nursing Home Activity Fund.
