He was born September 26, 1953 in Sayre, Ok to his parents Merle and Betty (Sweet) Howell. Jerry owned and operated Jerry Howell Trucking Company for many years. He was known to many as one of the few cowboys left. In his younger days he worked on cattle ranches training horses, roping and herding cattle. He was a true outdoors man enjoying fishing and hunting as well. Jerry’s greatest love was for his children and grandchildren. He loved his family very much.
Although Jerry is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which includes his wife; Rachel Stephens of the home, children; Justin and wife April Howell of Erick, Ok, Jesse and wife Tara Howell of Hobart, Indiana, Travis and wife Sybil Howell of Coulterville, Ill, Katelynn and husband Aaron Howell of Summersville, Mo, Michele and husband Beau Barnes of Sayre, Ok, Chelina Howell of Sayre, Ok, 1 brother; Harvey Howell of Washington, 1 sister; Sandra Adams of Sayre, Ok, 5 grandchildren; Sadie Howell, Cheston Howell, Korbyn Barnes, Kolee Barnes and Caden Stinson, 1 great grandchild; Shayanne Howell and a host of other relatives longtime friends and neighbors.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister; Jody Fulton and 1 brother.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
