Obituary:
Frank C. Dean was born July 5, 1929 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Mamie May and Francis Thomas Dean. He passed away May 4, 2011 at
Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 9
months and 29 days.
Frank grew up and attended school in Sayre. In 1946, he enlisted in the US
Marine Corps and served his country during World War II. After his discharge he
returned to Sayre and he was married to Bertie J. Wimberly at Wheeler, TX on
December 25, 1948. They made their home in Sayre where he was employed for 38
years with Northfork Electric Cooperative, retiring in 1991. Frank was a member
of the American Legion Post #146, Masonic Lodge #195, the Kiwanis Club and
enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a granddaughter, Lori Kaye
Burden, 4 brothers, Delmar, Fred, Clarence and twin, Tom and 1 sister, Veda
Anderson.
He is survived by his 3 children, Connie Burden and husband and Mike, Clinton,
OK; and Paul Dean and wife, Lesley, Tahlequah, OK; and Mary Amerson and husband
Grady, Sayre, OK; 6 grandchildren, Linda Wilhelm and husband Jerry, Clinton, OK;
and Julie Menge and husband, Ray, Clinton, OK; and Jessica Hefner and husband
Jack, Tahlequah, OK; and Eric Dean and wife, Stephanie, Tahlequah, OK; and
Jennifer Pryse and spouse, J.A., Oklahoma City, OK; and Jordan Scott and friend,
Jason Lucero, Oklahoma City, OK; 3 great grandchildren, Mycah Wilhelm, and Tate
Wilhelm, and Lillian Rae Hefner, 5 sisters-in-law, Lawanda Dean, Oklahoma City,
OK; and Betty Dean, Sayre, OK; and Margie Dean, Borger, TX; and Charlene
Lowrance, Elk City, OK; and Alice Stockton, Granite, OK; host of other relatives
and, friends.
