Jackie Gordon Kemper Blackburn was born November 08, 1944 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Vera Cecil (Allison) Blackburn and Robert Clifford Blackburn. He passed away October 20, 2018 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 12 days.
 

Jack grew up on the family farm west of Sayre. He attended school at Sayre graduating in 1962. He furthered his education at Sayre Junior College. Jack began working for Puckett's food. He was married to Freda (Bruner) Blackburn at Sayre, Oklahoma on November 28, 1963. Together they made their home in Sayre, Elk City, Cordell, Oklahoma City before returning to make their home in Sayre area. In 1979 Jack began his career for William E. Davis Food Company which was eventually acquired by U.S. Foods. Jack provided for his family by traveling around to convenience stores, restaurants, hospitals and other commercial establishments selling food. He continued for 30 plus years when he retired in 2012. Jack enjoyed farming and ranching, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.


He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Paul Blackburn and one sister, Phyllis Self.

He is survived by wife, Freda, of the home; son, Blaine Blackburn and wife, Robin, Tipp City, OH; 2 grandchildren, Caleb and Grayson Blackburn; 2 sisters-in-law, Peggy Cooprider and husband, Leon, Sayre, OK and Annie Mae Blackburn, Greenville, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Sayre.
