LaGayla was born in Sayre, OK, December 28, 1938, to her parents Dimp and Ella Mae (Carriker) Robertson. LaGayla enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing, and cooking for her family. Family was her true hobby and love. She would be found at many events of her grandchildren. She was their biggest fan. LaGayla also looked forward to the polk harvesting season. Polk salad was enjoyed by the family that she loved to cook for.
LaGayla is survived by her son: Gary and wife Tammy of Waco, TX; daughter: LaDonna and husband Jerry Jennings of Sayre, OK; sister: Treva Whitson of Sayre, OK; 4 grandchildren: TJ Jennings, Dustin Benton, Lyndy Parnell, Taylor Benton; 2 great grandchildren: Payton Jennings and Draykin Benton, as well as a host of longtime friends and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Eugene Benton, son: Ronald Benton, daughter: Rose Mary Benton; sister: Linda Sue Farris, brother: Carl Robertson, great grandson: Brody Jennings.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Sayre First Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 9:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM at Rose Chapel, Sayre. Online guestbook and condolences are available at www.whineryfs.com
