Michael G. "Skip" Silence was born January 2, 1947 in Ontario, Oregon. He passed away May 7, 2018 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 5 days.

Skip grew up in Oregon before he enlisted in the US Navy in 1969. After his discharge he moved to Sacramento, California where met Donna Knight in 1977 and they were married on May 30, 1980 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Skip worked as a heavy equipment operator for Caswell-Orth for 10 years and later worked at several other different jobs until retiring in 2002. He enjoyed playing pool and also working/tinkering on anything mechanical. Skip loved riding his Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic and this passion led him to become a member of the Downed Bikers Association, Western Plains Chapter.
