Dianna Lynn Sapp was born May 25, 1958 in Belleville, Illinois to Karen (Archerd) and Paul Moeckel. She went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2016 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 9 days.

Lynn grew up in various places while her dad was in the Air Force. In April of 1963 while her dad was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Lynn and her family survived a massive earthquake which destroyed parts of Anchorage, Alaska. In 1971 when her dad retired from the Air Force Lynn settled in Moore, Oklahoma where she graduated from Moore High School in 1976. In February of 1978 Lynn met the love of her life, Joe Sapp, on a blind date and they were married 5 months later on July 14, 1978 at Shields Boulevard Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. To this union was born three sons, Joseph in 1983, Chris in 1987 and Brian in 1990. Lynn continued to move as a pastor's wife following Joe as he pastored in various places in Oklahoma. In 1990 they moved to Jacksonville, Florida where they lived until they returned to Oklahoma in 1998. In 2001 they moved to Elk City, Oklahoma where she lived until her death.

Lynn was a member of the Baptist Church where she was very active working with children as a Sunday school teacher and in the Girls In Action program until her health forced her to stop. Lynn also babysat many children in her home to which she became a second mother. She loved taking care of flowers and taking car rides with Joe, but her main love was taking care of her family which was the number one priority for her. Lynn was truly born to be a mother to not only her children but to others as well. Joe always called Lynn "Pooh Bear".
