She passed away December 31, 2017 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 6 days.
Darlene grew up in the Sweetwater community where she attended school and graduated in 1951. After her graduation she was married to Wilburn James Roles at Sayre, Oklahoma on June 7, 1952. Darlene and Wilburn moved to Sayre, Oklahoma for a short period before moving to Carter, Oklahoma where Darlene worked in the Café and Grocery Store. In 1974 they moved to Elk City to make their home. Darlene found employment with Atwoods where she was a book keeper for 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed yard work, gardening and cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her son, Jim Roles and wife, Rita, Chickasha, OK; 1 granddaughter, Audra West and husband, Jason, Columbia, MO; 1 great grandson, Garrick West, Columbia, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.
