Mary Elizabeth Reed was born October 25, 1930 in Jester, Oklahoma to Felder John and Ruby Estelle (Heatley) Scoggins. She passed away March 26, 2018 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 1 day.
 

Mary Beth grew up in the Jester community and attended school at Plainview. She later lived in Hollis, Mangum, Erick and Sayre before moving to Elk City where she has made her home in Elk City for the last 35 years. She worked mostly as a seamstress but also worked as the head cook for several restaurants in Elk City. Mary Beth most recently provided home health care to local residents until her retirement.
 

She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Gary Berryman, two grandsons, Shane McGuire and Jeffrey Blain, a brother, Billy Don Scoggins and a sister, Nell Peden, her nephews, Jimmy Wayne Rathjen, Larry Ingram, Robert Peden and Jerry Don Pence, her nieces, Neita Peden and Debra Sue Pence.
 

She is survived by her children, Lorie Bradshaw and husband, Don, of Elk City, Carolyn McGuire and husband, Danny, of Sweetwater, OK, Linda Griffin and husband, Steve, of Sayre, OK, Billy Dale Berryman of Elk City, OK and James Hiett of Elk City, OK; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ruby Faye Ingram of Shallow Water, TX and Margaret Pence of Altus, OK; 2 nieces, Jan Ingram of Shallow Water, TX and Kathy Weatherford of Altus, OK, 2 nephews, Danny Pence of Duke, OK and Ricky Pence of Brownsville, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. DeRocher and his staff, the Elk City Nursing Home staff and Comforting Hands Hospice for their wonderful care and kindness for the past 8 years.
