Funeral services for Lynwood Frazier Mills, Sr. will be held on January 8, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Whinery-Savage Chapel, officiated by Michael Larson and Kendall Hamilton.

Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.

Lynwood was born December 24, 1939 to William and Lily Mills in Marian, Kentucky and died January 5, 2003 in his home near Canute, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years.

He moved to Texas in 1950 and was married to Sammie Drummond, at El Paso, Texas on September 20, 1962. He was a member of Bel Air Baptist Church in El Paso, Texas. Lynwood worked in construction until he started doing mechanic work. He moved his family to Oklahoma in 1976 where he worked for Turner Brothers Trucking as a driver then worked as a mechanic. He worked as a mechanic for Well Tech until his retirement in 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Sammie of the home; two daughters, Sharon Forrester and husband Greg, Elk City, Oklahoma, Brenda Mills, Iowa City, Iowa; three sons, Lynwood Mills, Jr., Atoka, Oklahoma, Duane Mills and wife Julie, Yukon, Oklahoma, Doug Mills and wife Angie, Elk City, Oklahoma; father William Mills, El Paso, Texas; eight grandchildren, Janna and Joe Mills, Coty and Riley Forrester, Amber and Benjamin Mills, Justin and Ryan Mills, and a host of other relatives and friends.
